Macron Dynamics recently provided a 2-axis X/Z gantry solution for palletizing that met requirements for the KwikPall palletizing system, a standardized, simply designed and economic palletizer.
In 1999 Macron delivered its first large scale sorting gantry, capable of distributing totes to 1,700 individual compartments!
This video demonstrates a product transfer "pusher" unit that is used to move sacks of product from one stage to a conveyor transfer system. The system features two MacBUILT heavy duty rail actuators mounted in a dual arrangement with connecting shaft which provide X axis motion. A MacBUILT "Z axis" rail actuator with a 50mm-wide belt provides vertical motion and mounting for a pusher blade.
This is actual running footage from a large format X-Z gantry that Macron built for a government contractor. The details are classified, but it's used in some sort of a missile defense calibration tester.
