TBG-12 for Laboratory Automation

The Macron T-Bot is an established and useful platform for picking and placing parts, however, in this clip, the customer’s process entailed bio-medical research. Specifically, smoothly moving sample with containers holding various liquid solutions.

This robot was programmed to lift a basket up, move to next container, lower basket, wait a predesignated time, lift, move, lower, and repeat for long periods of time. The x-axis travel is 1 meter with 4-6 inches of z-axis travel. Our integration partner rounded out the solution with the requisite steppers, drive, and touch screen GUI that made the automation perform to spec as an application specific tabletop system.
