Two Axis Product Transfer Pusher

This video demonstrates a product transfer “pusher” unit that is used to move sacks of product from one stage to a conveyor transfer system. The system features two MacBUILT heavy duty rail actuators mounted in a dual arrangement with connecting shaft which provide X axis motion. A MacBUILT “Z axis” rail actuator with a 50mm-wide belt provides vertical motion and mounting for a pusher blade.

This two axis design replaced a single axis, rodless cylinder. The two axes allow the customer to load product during the return stroke, which usually is not feasible with other systems. This enhancement provides extra time, allowing for an additional two full cycles. The system has the ability to run at a much higher rate of speed, but the production line feeding this machine can only produce 40 bags a minute.
