This six (6) axis gantry system was designed to automate an industrial line using pick and place automation that moved two different items in two different locations (directions) at the same time.
The unique XX-YY-ZZ six axis orientation of this automated pick and place robot utilized Macron 14 linear actuators and MacFRAME extruded aluminum machinery framing. The standard Macron 14 belt driven linear actuators are designed to handle loads up to 200 pounds, travel at speeds up to 160 mm/sec, and provide repeatability of +/-0.025mm.
Macron linear actuators are available in stainless steel finishes and require no lubrication, making them ideal for clean room automation applications.
