Application Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Application Engineer to join our team. In this role, you’ll serve as a technical resource for customers and partners, helping to select, size, and implement linear motion solutions. From generating quotations and reviewing sales orders to supporting project kickoffs, you’ll work cross-functionally to turn concepts into deliverable systems. This is a key technical role that bridges sales, engineering, and customer support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to customers, distributors, and sales representatives
- Generate and present professional quotations and proposals
- Enter and manage sales orders within the ERP system
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to define application specifications and coordinate project kickoffs
- Maintain clear communication with customers before, during, and after project completion
- Utilize CRM and ERP tools to manage leads, orders, and customer data
- Use SERVOSOFT software for product sizing (training provided)
- Participate in quote reviews, contract meetings, and escalations
- Initiate and support RMA, CAPA, and ECR/ECN processes when needed
- Work with distributors, reps, and direct customers to provide technical support and solutions
- Facilitate resolution of technical issues, disputes, and escalations
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or related field
- 3–5 years of technical sales experience in a product-driven environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with CRM/ERP systems and online collaboration tools preferred
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness to travel domestically as required
