MRA-RTU-1i

The MRA-RTU-1i is a precision linear actuator engineered for horizontal motion control in industrial robotic systems. Built on a single-axis platform, it provides consistent speed and torque across extended travel distances. Its aluminum extrusion base and steel carriage construction provide structural rigidity, while modular mounting options support various motor and gearbox configurations. Designed for high-cycle applications, the MRA-RTU-1i ensures dependable operation with minimal maintenance requirements.

  • Reliable 7th axis motion for articulated robots.
  • Specific Designed RTU for Inverted Applications.
  • Cart designed for the exact make and model of robot used.
  • User defined Strokes.
  • Mounting flexibility in any orientation.
  • Extruded aluminum actuator body with T-slots for ease of mounting.
  • Easy to adjust belt tensioner.
  • One piece machined and stress proof shafted pulley.
  • Zero backlash belt to pulley design.
  • Corrosion resistant components.
  • Washdown Duty or Water- Resistant Options upon request.
  • Integrated cable management.
  • Suggested for use with the following Robots:
    • Yaskawa HC10, GP7, and GP8
    • Fanuc LR mate and CR series
    • Kuka KR3, R Agilus series
    • Universal Robot family

Product Notes

The MRA-RTU-1i 7th-Axis Robot Transfer Unit is designed for reliable inverted (ceiling-mounted) 7th-axis motion in articulated robots. It features an extruded aluminum actuator body with T-slots for easy mounting, corrosion-resistant components, and integrated cable management. The unit supports user-defined stroke lengths, achieves near-zero backlash with a precision belt-to-pulley system, and offers positional repeatability of ±0.05 mm at speeds up to 3 m/s. A one-piece machined, stress-proof pulley and an easy-to-adjust belt tensioner provide durable performance and simplified maintenance. Washdown-duty and water-resistant configurations are available upon request. The MRA-RTU-1i is compatible with major robot brands including Yaskawa, Fanuc, KUKA, and Universal Robots. Each unit can be supplied with T-slot sensors, gearboxes, or motor mounting adaptors, and Macron Dynamics provides support for travel lengths beyond standard specifications.
