Technicians perform and coordinate activities related to the Jobs released to the manufacturing floor. These activities include; fabrication, assembly, material picking and require the use of power and hand tools. Technicians are responsible for following the routing instructions on the travelers and meeting the planned production hour estimates and timelines. Technicians may be assigned lead roles on specific Jobs and direct others in the execution of those Jobs. Technicians are expected to maintain good housekeeping standards and practice safe work habits and ensure all others in the manufacturing centers do the same.
Technicians interface with Program Managers, Engineering and Materials Control in their day to day work. They are also accountable for the integrity of the data collection and Job records system by entering hours and progress values accurately at data collection terminals.
