An inspection camera and lighting required a precise reciprocating tracking motion back and forth over a 2 meter length in less than 3 seconds. The ability to vary the speed of travel and control the position of the inspection camera while performing optical inspection was also needed during process development. The inspection module needed to be an add-on element to existing processing equipment. Structural beam strength, smooth motion, and independent "plug and play" controls were necessary.

A product test station required an overhead transport system with integrated frame. Due to testing parameters the entire system needed to be non-reflective. Standard clear anodized aluminum components would not meet the requirement.
