Robotic Lifting Partner System | NC State Engineering Project

Students at NC State recently engineered a system to assist weight lifters. The lifting partner was programmed to initiate new exercise sets and wait for a struggle during the tracking portion, to prevent athletes dropping heavy weights on themselves.

The students integrated independently driven Macron MSA-135 units, ideal for vertical applications with cantilever oriented loads and hanging applications in a horizontal mode.
