Macron 6 Linear Actuators Used in Pick and Place Packaging Automation System
This system was developed as a prototype to replace an existing pick and place automation system from a competitor. The pick and place system is used in the clothing manufacturing industry and is an integral part of the clients packaging automation.
Multiple Macron 6 belt driven linear actuators were used along with customized MacFRAME machinery framing.

Double Stacked Custom Gantry and Automated Machine Frame for Laboratory Research & Development
This custom X-Y axis, double stacked gantry system and frame was engineered for use in a laboratory research and development environment by Macron. One of the challenges in designing this gantry system was that the gantry would be moving around hazardous materials, making precise movement and travel a requirement.
Macron chose two Macron 14 belt drive linear actuators along with a custom designed machine frame using Macron MacFRAME aluminum extrusion for this automated gantry. The machine framing houses two identical, but independent operating systems stacked one on top of the other.
The lead bucket, which holds hazardous materials, is set on the bottom system and can move in various positions within the gantry frame. The top motion system supported a tracking device and can automatically track or follow the movements of the system below.

Macron 14 Linear Actuator With Wrap Around Cart is Solution for Automated Welding System
Macron automation engineers were tasked with designing and manufacturing an automated welding system used for welding pipes in an industrial environment. The existing method used was to weld the pipes manually by hand. The client was seeking a faster, more precise and consistent process for welding the pipes.
Special consideration was given to the beam to eliminate deflection. Any deflection would have been unacceptable, as it would have created inconsistencies in the automated welding. A custom beam was designed and constructed by Macron to eliminate deflection for that reason.
In addition, a spatial challenge was presented as the automated robot had to be placed into a tight space. The small area available for the system required a piece by piece installation on-site. Macron automation engineers gave special consideration to this obstacle when designing this automated welding system.
The final product was a combination of a custom beam, wrap around actuator cart, and a Macron 14 belt driven linear actuator.
